NWN and Mar Youssef Medical Clinic Host Free Medical Day in Aley on Children's Day
On April 5th, in celebration of Children's Day, the National Wellness Network (NWN) at the Aley campus, in collaboration with Mar Youssef Medical Clinic at Deir Al Harf, organized a free medical day for 39 children from the Happy Child Institute at the NWN-Aley Branch. The event included consultations with General Medicine Specialist Dr. Imad Ghraizy, nutrition tests with Licensed Dietitian Ms. Hitaf Makarem, vision tests with Licensed Optometrist Ms. Dana Allaham, and nurse assessments. Additionally, the children were treated to fun activities and gifts.
MUBS students who were members of the Health Club from the School of Health Sciences and the "We Care Club" from the Social Work Department participated in various educational activities, logistics, nutrition assessments, and organization during the event. It is worth mentioning that Social Work Student Jana Abdul Khalek organized this activity as part of her practicum. Ultimately, the Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS) remains committed to ensuring access to essential health services for its community.
This event affirms MUBS’s commitment to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically, SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships to Achieve the Goals). For more about MUBS's efforts toward achieving UN SDGs, visit our page: www.mubs.edu.lb/sdg
