NWN & MUMC Conduct Weekly Visits to Displacement Shelters to Provide Essential Health Services
As war continues to displace families across Lebanon, the National Wellness Network (NWN) and the Modern University Medical Care (MUMC)-Semqanieh conducted weekly visits to displacement shelters as part of the crisis response plan for primary healthcare centers in the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH). Visits included needs assessments, medical consultations, free medication distribution, vaccinations, and health awareness sessions.
The shelters regularly visited by MUMC Semqanieh include Bakaata Official School, Mazraat El Chouf Official School, Ain Wazein Official School, and Ainbal Atrein Official School.
MUMC-Semqanieh remains committed to alleviating the burden of displacement and strengthening healthcare access for those in need.
The event is aligned with MUBS’s commitment to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships to Achieve the Goals).
