NWN Collaborates with LeMSIC and MUBS to Organize Free Medical Day
The National Wellness Network (NWN) organized a Free Health Day in Tripoli on July 25, 2021, in collaboration with LeMSIC, an organization run by medical students, which aims to develop empowered healthcare professionals that will provide Lebanon with a sustainable and healthier future.
The Free Medical Day was an initiative by the medical students, facilitated by NWN, to provide healthcare, awareness and screening free of charge to those in need. Over 70 patients were offered free medical examinations, which included nutrition assessment (BCA test), in addition to a vision test provided by NWN specialists in collaboration with students from the School of Health Sciences at MUBS (Modern University for Business and Science).
This campaign is part of the NWN’s and MUBS’ commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially the SDG-3 - promote health and wellness -and SDG-17 - build partnerships towards the goals.
