Cardiff Met.: Confronting the Refugee Crisis
According to Filippo Grandi, the UNHCR High Commissioner, “Syria is the biggest humanitarian and refugee crisis of our time, a continuing cause of suffering for millions which should be garnering a groundswell of support around the world.”
During this exchange, you and your partners in Cardiff Metropolitan University will study a set of public health problems experienced by people affected by natural disasters and/or conflict, and work in the field on projects that relate to investigating the living conditions of refugees in Lebanon.
Course materials such as the syllabus, assignment instructions, some readings, and captured lectures can be found on Canvas as well as EdX at https://lagunita.stanford.edu/
You will use EdX to schedule meetings with your classmates in order to carry out the group assignments in this class. Please check Moodle and EdX regularly and before to coming to class to learn of any updates.
